Come join an exciting weekend of racing for a cure!

The Mission:

 The Hot Ticket Leukemia Cup Regatta is both a sailing and fundraising competition. The local community comes together for a weekend of excitement to raise funds that support the LLS Mission of creating a world without blood cancer. 

You don’t have to be a sailor to support the Hot Ticket Leukemia Cup, non-sailors can register virtual teams to raise funds. To make a general donation or create a team, click here.

The Event:

For the first time at BCYC, this regatta will include 3 days of Farr 40 Racing! This event will also include on day of PHRF random leg racing and a Saturday night dinner gala with silent auction and guest speaker Katie Pettibone .

Farr 40 racing begins at 1230 to include 3 windward/leeward races followed by a cocktail reception for racers with heavy horderves.

August 10, 2019

Farr 40 racing begins at 1230 to include 3 windward/leeward races followed by post-race gala to include the following:

Farr 40 racing begins at 1230 to include 2 windward/leeward races

PHRF racing begins at 1230 to include one random leg course

Meet our Honored Skipper: Jack Egan 


1 Jack Egan, Honored Skipper

A student at Point Loma High School, class of 2020. Jack has been sailing since he was six years old and has become a competitive junior racer, recently winning the Mallory Championship A Division. In sixth grade, Jack was diagnosed with precursor B cell acute lymphoblastic lymphoma. After spending a year in the hospital, Jack was cleared to begin three years of maintenance treatment that he completed in the spring of 2017. These treatments were developed by top researchers in conjunction with LLS. Jack is now back to sailing competitively and preparing for the next steps in his life.
