American Yacht Club Leukemia Cup Regatta

September 26th, 2020

This will be the third Leukemia Cup Regatta hosted by American Yacht Club. As in the past,it will be held in conjunction with the Club’s annual Fall Series Regatta. Once again, our Leukemia Cup event will feature a Paddle/Kayak event in the morning and a navigator style Sailing race in the afternoon. Both events will be conducted in such a way as to comply with proper social distancing. At this time, we don’t know if we can have a post-race party, but we hope to. Stay tuned!

During these uncertain times, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society continues to fund vital blood cancer research and provide valuable services to blood cancer patients and their families. We hope you will find a way to support this life saving organization, and also have a fun day on the water.

What is a Leukemia Cup? A Leukemia Cup is a fundraising event to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that combines support of a great cause with paddling and sailing competition. Individuals or groups of individuals create a fundraising page and seek donations from friends, family and work colleagues. A single person can fundraise or a crew can combine efforts and fundraise together as a team. You don’t even need a boat and can register as a club, group of friends or a “phantom boat”.  LLS is there to help with any question on fundraising and tips to make it easy.

How do I enter? To enter the sailing or paddling events, click on this link. You will be sent a Notice of Race. Once registered for an event, you will receive a fundraising page.
