Suncoast Chapter 2017 Leukemia Cup Regatta
When you join the Leukemia Cup Regatta, you're joining the most important race of them all- the race to find cures for blood cancers! The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a series of events that combine the joy of sporting with the imporant task of raising money to cure cancer. Every dollar raised is a dollar closer to a cure. Since 1993, participants in The Leukemia Cup Regatta events throughout the country have raised over $58 million in funding for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to invest in research to find cures for blood cancers - leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma - and to help improve the lives of patients and families. Sailing commentator and 1976 America's Cup winner Gary Jobson, who is a lymphoma survivor, has chaired The Leukemia Cup campaign since its inception.
The Leukemia Cup is a fundraising Regatta and is for everyone that wants to help find a cure for blood cancers. We would love to have you on our team! Phantom Sailors qualify for all the same great benefits as their on-the-water counterparts.
Sailors of all levels, including those interested in our new crusiing class and those new to the sport of sailing, can participate in the Leukemia Cup. Our Honorory Skippers and local blood cancer survivors will inspire and remind you of the LLS mission as you join forces to raise vital funds to support our quest for a cure. The funds raised support LLS's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their famililes.
