Fundraising
In 2012, our goal is to raise $160,000 to further the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society:
to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients
and their families.
The need is critical. More than one million people in the US are currently living with, or in remission from,
leukemia, lymphoma & myeloma. Every four minutes, someone will be diagnosed with a blood cancer.
Every 10 minutes, someone dies. Although great progress has been made, there is still a long way to go.
Donations collected by Leukemia Cup Regatta participants are of crucial importance. With your support, our
chapter is able to provide financial assistance, support groups and materials to blood cancer patients in
Washington & Alaska. We are also funding eight researchers in the Seattle area who are working
relentlessly to improve cancer treatements and eventually find a cure.

3rd Place - $100 Palisade Restaurant gift certificate with two bottles of wine (must raise at least $2,500)
