The Leukemia Cup Regatta
Bigger than Boating
20th Aniversary Leukemia Cup Regatta
The Leukemia Cup Regatta is an annual sailing event that takes place in Elliott Bay, adjacent to downtown Seattle. As the kickoff event of Elliott Bay Marina's Downtown Sailing Series, the Leukemia Cup Regatta is a casual race meant to bring sailors together over their love of boating and their commitment to fighting blood cancer. Following two laps on the course, skippers, crew members and guests head ashore for a post-race party that celebrates the impact made in the quest for a blood cancer cure.
Over the last 10 years, local sailors have helped raise more than $1.3 million for blood cancer research and patient services. Nationally, the Leukemia Cup series has raised more than $42 million since its inception.
