We salute Gary Jobson and Our Top Supporters Everywhere
In 2011, more than 65 captains and their crew from Houston and surrounding areas combined a passion for sailing with a committment to help cancer patients, raising more than $110,000 to help cure blood cancers.
The Regatta participants were led in their efforts by Commodore Cheryl Thomas of the Houston Yacht Club who served as the chapter's Leukemia Cup Regatta chair. Commodore Thomas became very involved with LLS after losing her sister to lymphoma in 1996 and has chaired the Leukemia Cup for nine years. We salute Commodore Thomas for helping cure cancers.
Our deepest thanks to all of the sailors, the Houston Yacht Club and sponsors who participated in 2011. We are so grateful for their fantastic support!
