Information on 2012 Regatta
Friday, June 22nd - Sunday, June 24th
The Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society congratulates everyone who participated in the 2011 Leukemia Cup Regatta at the Houston Yacht Club.
The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a series of sailing races that take place at yacht clubs throughout the United States. Sailors raise money for LLS through pledges and individual donations, and compete for prizes and awards. The 2011 event raised just over $116,000. Our goal for 2012 is to raise $135,000 which will be challenging in this tough economy, but we know that the sailing community will come through and help us fight leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Funds raised support LLS's mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. To participate as a fundraising sailor or 'virtual' sailor, fundraisers without boats, please contact Courtney Eads at 713.680.8088 or courtney.eads@lls.org
If you are interested in being a sailor or 'virtual sailor' or would like additional fundraising information, please download the 2012 Sailor Packet here.
