The 16th annual Rhode Island Leukemia Cup Regatta will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 4 and 5, 2010 in Newport at The New York Yacht Club.

You can raise more than a sail to help fight leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma by raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society while participating in The Leukemia Cup Regatta weekend of events.
Captains, crew and non-sailors alike are encouraged to join in the fight to eradicate blood cancer.
Fundraising is easy and doesn't need to be time consuming. Just ask us how you can get started! Each participant receives a comprehensive fundraising handbook filled with incentives, event ideas and sample letters. We'll also help you set up an online fundraising website. Fundraising online is one of the easiest and quickest ways to make an impact. Top fundraisers can qualify for great prizes, but you'll also be helping to save lives and to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Proceeds raised from the Regatta will help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fund blood cancer research and patient aid. With generous donations from local sponsors and the dedication of our fundraisers, the Rhode Island Chapter events have grown incredibly, from raising $20,000 in 1995 to more than $346,000 in 2009.
Help Us Kick Off the Season With Gary Jobson
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is proud to Kick Off the 2010 season with an incredible opportunity to spend an evening with Emmy award winning sailing commentator, Gary Jobson. The evening dubbed "Sailing- Speed & Passion" will be held on April 21st at 6:00pm.
During a reception at The New York Yacht Club, Gary Jobson will speak on topics such as the 33rd America's Cup, the China Olympics, college sailing, 12 meter world championships, The New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup, ocean racing, history of America's Cup and ultimate sailing.
Tickets are limited. Please visit our registration site to reserve tickets. Tickets are $30 per person and $50 per couple.

The 16th annual Leukemia Cup Regatta is a two-day event that will take place on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5, 2010.

- Model Yacht Racing-An afternoon of CR-914 Racing (tentative start time 1:30pm)
- 5:00-6:30pm-Race registration opens
- 6:00pm-"An Evening At Harbour Court" Cocktails/passed hors d'oeuvres service begins
- 6:30pm-Stations open
- 7:30pm-Program & Live Auction begins
Saturday, June 5, 2010
- 9:00-10:00am-Race registration opens
- 12:00noon-Racing begins
- 6:00pm- Barbeque begins
- 7:00pm-Program & Silent Auction begins
