The Leukemia Cup Regatta on White Bear Lake
The 2012 Leukemia Cup Regatta will take place September 14-16, co-hosted by the Black Bear Yacht Racing Association, White Bear Yacht Club and White Bear Boat Works. This event on White Bear Lake brings together sailors from the upper Midwest for racing, fundraising, and unabashed fun. It is one of nearly forty similar sailing events around the country raising awareness and funds to help find a cure for blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma. Since 2004, supporters of The Leukemia Cup Regatta on White Bear Lake have raised $525,000 for blood cancer research, patient aid, advocacy, and education.
